Special morning event for luncheon registrants!

    Speaker: Mary Byers (bio)

Special Morning Program: "Shrink to Grow: A Counterintuitive Path to Relevance"
    Wednesday, October 17, 2018 | 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Join bestselling-author Mary Byers, CAE for a thought-provoking conversation on how association strategy is changing as a result of an increasingly competitive environment. Understand why a more carefully curated menu of services may be necessary for your association and learn a step-by-step process for conducting a full program and service evaluation.

    Learning Objectives:

    • Understand a methodology for evaluating services delivered to members
    • Develop an understanding of how to make decisions and plan for change if reducing services
    • Identify ways to customize methodology for one’s association
    • Learn how to respond to potential objections

*The morning session is free when you register for the luncheon!

    Luncheon Program: "Changing Business Models"
    Wednesday, October 17, 2018 | 11:15 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Are annual dues dead? If they aren’t, should they be? Join Mary Byers, CAE, for this provocative look at what some associations are doing to compete in a rapidly changing environment. Mary Byers, CAE, covers tiered pricing, service packages and “subscription” model case studies to jumpstart your thinking about what the future might hold for your association.

    Learning Objectives:

    • Understand different objectives and benefits with tiered membership pricing models
    • Understand how membership organizations are packaging benefits for a new generation of members.
    • Learn how subscription based engagement models may be a substitute for traditional membership models.
    • Hear case studies of association currently using new models and understand implementation strategies
